Stepping into new roles

Well this first post feels a little awkward. Here I am writing to the world and yet still seem to feel like I am talking to myself. I guess that's what taking up a blog is all about. Just talking to a screen! Currently I am living in Colorado, but I am from beautiful San Diego, CA. Why I moved out here in the first place will forever baffle me and anyone who has ever been to my sunny paradise. What ever the initial reason I will forever be grateful since my husband happened to be a native here. Still working on convincing him that California is superior, but that's another battle in itself.

So why am I here you might ask? Well I have gone from empowered and independent to domesticated and a stay at home wife. Now before I have an uproar of highly girl power fist shakers at my door please note it was my choice. Of course going from single lady to married wifey was no walk through the park, but it's something I would never trade.

All this said I am currently five months pregnant with our first child. We just found out that we have a healthy baby girl! Exciting and yet terrifying! More often than not I often wonder if I am ready for this. Well ready or not here she comes. So I guess that's what this space is for, being able to rant and wonder of different things that come from preparing for a child and becoming a mommy!
